The Devil Said Jump is a queer folk band from Chicago. With influences like the Indigo Girls, The Chicks, Shania Twain, and the Avett Brothers, their sound combines the honesty of classic cowboy country with gut-wrenching harmonies and theatrical storytelling. Through their music, the band hopes to cultivate a community of silly revolutionists who believe in the power of queer joy, but also in commiseration. Their protest song "Make Me Buy A Gun" is out everywhere this Fourth of July.
