Tumbao Marianao is a Chicago-based salsa project born from the shared vision of three friends pushing a fresh, modern take on Latin music. Formed at the end of 2025, the group features a dynamic lineup of Latin percussion, bass, tres, and vocals, blending tradition with high-energy performance.
They’ve already lit up stages like Fitzgerald's and are set to appear across Chicago at festivals and weekend events throughout the year. Known for their infectious rhythms and crowd-moving energy, Tumbao Marianao delivers a dance-driven experience rooted in Cuban instrumentation while drawing from Puerto Rican, Colombian, and Cuban salsa traditions.
From the sounds of Frankie Ruiz and Héctor Lavoe to Joe Arroyo, their setlist keeps the dance floor alive all night.
